About Us

Creating long-term economic participation through Nation-led energy development.

Our Story

FNpower is a First Nations-owned renewable energy and project development company working alongside Indigenous communities to support meaningful participation in Canada’s evolving energy economy.

FNpower was founded to help address a gap often experienced by Indigenous communities in major energy and infrastructure development — access to trusted strategic support that understands both the opportunities and the realities of navigating complex projects. The company was built on the belief that Nations should be involved early, heard throughout the process, and positioned to participate in ways that create long-term value for their communities.

We help Nations navigate renewable energy and infrastructure opportunities by providing strategic advisory, project development support, partnership guidance, and capacity building tailored to community goals.

Our experience spans utility-scale renewable energy projects, community energy planning, energy storage, and microgrid development. But more importantly, we understand that successful projects are built through trust, collaboration, and long-term relationships.

Our work is rooted in the belief that Indigenous communities should have a meaningful seat at the table in projects happening on their territories — as partners, decision-makers, and owners.

By working collaboratively with communities, industry, and governments, FNpower helps create projects that support long-term economic participation, strengthen community capacity, and advance Nation-led development.
