Recognizing a gap in Indigenous participation in Canada’s renewable energy sector, FNpower was started as a way to provide reliable, long-term, and equitable support for First Nations communities and industry partners to connect on solar, wind, hydro, and biomass projects.
The FNpower team is composed of leaders in their respective fields. With experience working with Indigenous communities and as an Indigenous owned organization, they prioritize relationship building and Nations’ interests to provide Nations with the maximum benefit from partnership.
We want to redefine how business is done with First Nations communities, and help Nations achieve meaningful ownership in this sector. We aim to set the bar for equitable partnerships between First Nations partners and industry partners and ensure that all involved are treated with integrity.
What we do
Focusing on solar, wind, hydro, and biomass utility-scale renewable projects in Alberta, Ontario, and British Columbia.
Our process is designed to reduce risk, increase vested interest, create greater understanding within communities, and accelerate Indigenous participation in Canada’s clean energy transition.
